Elevation Polish Minneapolish Collection

*Press Samples*

Hi everyone! Today I have the gorgeous Minneapolish Collection to share with you from Elevation Polish! This polish is especially dear to Lulu because it is inspired by her home town, Minneapolis, Minnesota (be sure to check out her blog post for her stories about the inspiration behind all of these pretties). There are a total of 6 polishes including a limited edition Yeti polish that will only be available during the month of February. I was so excited when I first saw the preview of this collection and they more than lived up to my expectations! The Minneapolish Collection will be launching on February 7th.

Lake of the Isles is a bright cornflower blue "gelly". Lulu has named this formula/finish a gelly and I would like to formally say that I wish she would make them in every color! This is what I would call a crelly (a creme/jelly hybrid) and it has the opacity of a creme but the shine and slight squish factor of a jelly. Formula went on smoothly and easily in 2 effortless coats. Lulu warned that this one was streaky on the first coat, but I didn't even find that happening (I did use thicker coats though). And let's not forget the color...such a pure gorgeous blue!

The Walker is a bright purple linear holo. Formula was smooth and fantastic on this one and it was easily opaque in 2 coats. Check out that flame, such an intense holo! This polish has the weird abilty to look a lighter silvery lavender in some lights and an intense bright purple in other lights. It's just beautiful!

St. Anthony Falls has a white jelly base with gunmetal and different colored/sized iridescent glitter. Formula on this one was nice and it built up to opacity in 3 thin coats (I definitely recommend thin coats for optimal glitter distribution). At first glance you just see the gunmetal glitters, but when the light hits this polish, the iridescent glitters sparkle through giving it tons of depth. So pretty!

Mill City Ruins is thermal polish that goes from dark (cool) to lighter (warm) olive drab and it is packed with gold shimmer and gold flake shimmer. Formula was really nice on this one and flowed easily. I used 2 coats for this mani. Lulu mentioned this was a subtle thermal in her post about this collection, and I guess color-wise it is, but it is definitely a pronounced thermal effect. I was super impressed with this one's ability to stay in the cold/transitioning state on me. I guess I run hot, but thermals always seems to default to the warm state on me and this one didn't really do that, it stayed "transitioning" so I was a happy camper! And lets not even get into the gold flakes...LOVE! This is one of my favorites!

Theo Wirth Parkway is a jewel-toned green crelly with silver and multicolored flake shimmers. At first, I thought the formula was just a touch thick, so I added a few drops of thinner to it and then it flowed perfectly. I used 2 coats for this mani. The shimmer in this is so stunning and pops beautifully against the teal base. This was the first one I grabbed to try when these polishes arrived and I put it on immediately. Lulu really knows how to make fantastic teals!

Yeti Hides in the Mini Apple (LE) is a bright cherry red holo with a hint of gold shimmer. Formula was fantastic on this one and it was opaque in 2 easy coats. The holo is a little looser than The Walker, but still amazingly beautiful. And the red...such a beautiful color of red! This polish is just delectable! Be sure to pick up this Yeti during the month of February before he disappears forever!

Eeeee! And I even got some sun shots of this one!

Elevation Polish is available from creator Lulu's Big Cartel Shop. She has a lot of info on restock dates and availability on the Big Cartel site as well as on her blog. Her shop is restocked on the 7th and 22nd each month unless otherwise noted. Elevation Polish is also stocked at Llarowe.
