Pahlish Golden Afternoon Duo

*Press Sample*

Hi everyone! Next Sunday, Pahlish is releasing an amazing Alice in Wonderland-inspired collection called Through the Looking Glass (there are even themed labels!). Along with this collection (which I will be showing you later in the week) the May Duo will also be released and it is also in theme. The Golden Afternoon Duo for May 2015 is inspired by the flowers singing to Alice, which was always one of my favorite parts of the animated movie when I was a child. This duo has a wonderful creamy flecked base with another one of the amazing holo/flakie toppers that Shannon has been making this year. The Through the Looking Glass Collection and the May Duo will be releasing on May 17 at 7:00 PM CST.

Swatches are next, but first...lookit the cuuuute labels! Ahhhhh!!

Dizzy Daffodils is a pale peachy-pink creme filled with pink flecks and peach shimmer. Formula was absolutely fantastic on this one and it was almost perfect at 2 coats, but I did 3 for good measure (2 would have been fine if I was being more careful though). This polish instantly made me think of one of my favorite Pahlishes ever, Fleur de Sel because it has similar pink flakes but, of course, the base of this one is pink instead of white. Needless to say, my love for this polish is huge! It's so sweet and flattering!

String of Violets has a holo base filled with multicolored chrome flakes, lots of pink flake shimmer, and small iridescent microglitters in purple and orange. Formula was nice and it (of course) was meant to be worn as a topper so it looks best layered. For this mani, I used 2 coats over Dizzy Daffodils. This is just gorgeous! I really love the addition of the iridescent glitters, they really sparkle and add depth to this topper. Also, you can see that it looks like the base color is a darker pink here, and that is all of the tiny pink flakes that are plentiful in this polish.
