Elevation Polish Street Graffiti Collection + When the Cherry Met the Spoon

*Press Samples*

Hi everyone! Today I have the new Street Graffiti Collection for June 2015 from Elevation Polish to share with you. This is a super cool collection that is a bit unexpected, but welcomed this time of the year with all of the brights around. These are very posh polishes (just like their namesakes) that can be worn year-round and I feel like that's what makes this collection so awesome. There is also a new addition to the core line that is a former SBP (When the Cherry Met the Spoon), and it is a stunner! These all go on sale on June 7th at 9 PM CST.

LA is a white crelly with soft silver pearl shimmer. Careful application was essential on this one to prevent streaking (white jellies/crellies tend to do that). I used 3 light coats for this mani for full coverage (there was just a hint of a VNL at 3 coats). The silver shimmer is super subtle and adds a bit of depth to the polish, but in a lot of lights it is hidden. Such a soft and pretty polish!

NYC is a black matte/rubber finish polish with silver shimmer. Formula was great on this one with full coverage in 2 coats. The matte finish is super chic with the black (and SO perfect for a polish representing NYC), but you can also add topcoat to bring the shimmer out and it is really lovely that way as well.

East London is a mix of ultra chrome flakies (lots of blues/greens/golds) and holo pigment in a clear base. This one is meant to be worn as a topper and it has excellent coverage at one coat over a desired base color. If you layer it over a light color, the colors of the flakies really pop well but layering over a dark base gives you a completely different and almost galaxy-esque look. I'm completely in love with this topper!

Melbourne is a creamy medium blue packed with gold, green, blue, and silver shimmer and a dusting of holographic pigment.  Formula was slightly thick, but in a good, full-coverage sort of way. I could almost have gotten away with one coat, but I did 2 coats for good measure. The shimmer is so lovely in this polish (and a bit camera shy) and the sprinkle of holo just adds a lovely bit of interest, but it definitely isn't an overwhelming element in this polish.

Paris is a prune medium density linear holo. Formula was excellent and again, has a nice thickness to it that lends to it being an easy 2 coater. Now I don't know about you...but when I hear prune I don't think sexy, but this is polish is the epitome of sexy. I feel like this is a LBD in polish form that can be worn for pretty much any occasion when you are just want something a little different than your standard red or nude.

When the Cherry Met the Spoon is a berry red jelly filled with sparse holo pigment, dark ultra chrome flakes, and charcoal flake shimmer. Formula was very easy to work with and you could get away with 2 coats, but I used 3 coats for added depth in this swatch. The ultra chrome flakes definitely serve to add lots of interest to this polish without standing out as they do in most polishes, and I love them used this way. This polish is even better in person, there is so much going on! I wasn't lucky enough to snag this one when it was a SBP, so I'm super stoked that it made it into the core line!
