Baroness X Northern Lights Trio

*Press Samples*

Hi everyone! Today I have a new to me brand to share with you, Baroness X. I was very excited to try them for the first time, and what a killer collection to start out with! The Northern Lights Trio is a set inspired by, obviously, the aurora borealis and is available as a set for $29 or you can also buy the polishes individually. There are two holos and a glitter topper in this set that all coordinate beautifully! I also love that maker Demi has coordiating cabs on the top of each bottle, such a pretty touch!

La Luz is a pinky lavender polish with strong turquoise shimmer, scattered holographic silver glitter, and a scattered holo effect. Formula was very easy to work with and had full coverage in 2 coats. The shimmer is very predominant in this polish with the holo taking on a secondary role and just providing some depth, along with the holo glitters. Gah, isn't the color just fabulous! I love it so much!

Aurora Sparks is a teal linear holo with sterling silver flakes, purple shimmer, and violet glassflecks. Formula was very easy to work with and built up to opacity easily in 3 thin coats. I adore the silver flakes that peek out of this polish and the purple shimmer is absolutely divine (and like the shimmer in La Luz, even better in real life). The holo effect is very strong in this one!

Borealis Bubbles is a clear-based glitter topper with pearl turquoise, silver holo, and lavender holo microglitters. The formula is perfectly glitter dense for easy coverage in 1 coat over a coordinating base color. Here I used 1 coat over Aurora Sparks. It dries down a bit gritty, so I used a thicker topcoat to give it a smooth finish (I used Essence Gel-Look Topcoat). This topper has gorgeous colors that coordinate perfectly with the other two polishes in the trio, or it could be worn over a variety of bases for a fun look.

Here's a not so awesome picture of the cabs on top of the bottles...they are so gorgeous in real life! They are hard to photograph though. You can see all of the pretty shimmers in La Luz and Aurora Sparks!

Baroness X Polishes are available from creator Demi's website. Be sure to follow them on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Thanks for looking everyone!
