Paint All the Nails Presents Dry Brush

*Press Samples*

Hi everyone and Happy Thanksgiving! Today for the monthly Paint All the Nails! link-up we are doing the dry brush technique. If you have been a follower of my blog for awhile, you might know that this is one of my favorite nail art techniques because it is so darn easy and gives a very striking effect. Because I love the simplicity of the technique so much, I did a really simple dry brush look for you today.

Now while most Americans are thinking about turkey and cranberry sauce on Thanksgiving, here in Alabama we are gearing up for one of the South's biggest football rivalries: the Iron Bowl. The classic SEC match-up of Auburn vs Alabama is something I remember all throughout my childhood because we would dress up at school in our favorite team's colors and families would gather together to watch the game on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. Then, when I went to college I got to experience the Iron Bowl in person as I watched from the Auburn student section and got into the great spirit of the game for my six long years there. My husband and I still go as often as we can to games and we are indeed going to the Iron Bowl this Saturday (and he's an Alabama fan...but I love him anyway). For my festive Iron Bowl nails, I used classic Auburn orange and blue with a splash of white in my dry brush design. I used a base of KBShimmer For Fox Sake (orange, which I have solo shots of below). Then I used the navy blue (Girly Bits Blue Christmas) and white (KBShimmer Eyes White Open) to complete my dry brush design. I wanted some cute nail art for the game and even though I've been crazy busy and had no time, this design took no time to do!

KBShimmer For Fox Sake is a soft orange creme. Formula is perfection and I used 2 coats for full coverage. This is such a gorgeous, wearable shade of orange that I think anyone would enjoy (even my orange haters out there). It has a touch of softness and some corally undertones that just make it a fabulous orange. This is from KBShimmer's Winter 2015 Collection and it is the one that I didn't get to show you in my initial post. Be sure to check out the Winter 2015 Collection in KBShimmer's shop. Be sure to keep watch on KBShimmer's Facebook page on Friday for a discount code for 35% off of items in their discontinued section, which they have recently updated to make room for more pretties!

Be sure to check out what all of the other fabulous ladies from Paint All the Nails! have done today! Thanks for looking everyone!
